Dow Corning received this award for their efforts to move their global manufacturing sites to automated solutions, using a new platform called Electronic Work Instructions (EWI).

The PM 100 award is given by US-based Managing Automation to companies that are implementing cutting edge technology, thus rethinking their business processes and relationships with customers, helping create new business value for greater success now and into the future.

Dow Corning's new EWI platform helps automate supply chain processes that transfer data to and from mobile devices on the plant floor. The automation helps eliminate errors, increase operator effectiveness, improve long-term archiving, compliance, and auditing of information. In addition, this platform also provides real-time alerts, improves asset utilizations and dramatically helps improve customer response times.
