
As the world transitions towards green growth, there comes a critical point of transformation in polyurethane industry. From June 25 to 27, 2025, the seventh Polyurethane Technology International Forum (PTIF), an international event bringing together global industrial elites and focusing on the topic of sustainability, will be held in Shanghai. Cosponsored by Shanghai Polyurethane Industry Association, the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and PUdaily, and organized by Shanghai Yihuatong Information Technology, the forum provides a platform for international exchanges that promote the green transformation and sustainability of the PU industry.

Abstract of the speech:
With the whole polyurethane (PU) industry having migrated east over the past 20 + years, how should the PU industry in the Asia - Pacific (APAC) region view the future of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)? What are the entry barriers to these regions? Clint Raine, with over 30 years of experience in European and American foreign - funded companies, will introduce the market and policy environment of the PU industry in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa from a global perspective. The speech will cover the supply and demand of major raw materials in the foam industry, the current status of the foam plastics markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as the sustainability regulations and initiatives promoted by the European Union.

Clint Raine has extensive experience in the chemical industry having served for 30+ years at Bayer / Covestro in EMEA & APAC. He is Co-owner of Belvedere and Partner Ltd which provides consulting & marketing services to the chemical industry and its customers, as well as executive coaching and mentoring programmes. Clint also has an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change from Henley Business School, UK and is currently also part of their coaching networks for their MBA students as well as an individual coach for several corporate clients.
