Tekmar Group plc (AIM: TGP), a leading provider of subsea asset protection technology and offshore energy services, has secured a major contract in excess of US$10 million with a leading international Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contractor.
The award covers the design and manufacture of Tekmar’s latest-generation polyurethane cable protection system, TekDuct, together with engineered ballast modules, for installation on a large offshore energy development in the United Arab Emirates. Engineering work has commenced immediately, with offshore delivery scheduled for Q1 2026.
This win extends Tekmar’s established track record in the Middle East, where the Group has already supported multiple large-scale offshore energy and infrastructure projects. The region is forecast to see significant growth in subsea cable infrastructure over the next decade as governments diversify energy supply and accelerate offshore development.
Proven technology and lifecycle value
TekDuct is designed to deliver long-term protection in challenging seabed conditions, combining durable polyurethane construction with streamlined installation features that reduce offshore vessel time and project risk. The ballast modules provide additional stability and ensure cable integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
