GNFC Shuts Down Dahej TDI-II Plant After Sudden Leakage

On September 19, 2025, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC) shut down its TDI-II plant at Dahej, Gujarat, following a sudden gas leakage. In a regulatory filing, the company confirmed that the incident was confined within the plant premises with no release beyond the boundary, no property damage, and no loss of life. Safe shutdown procedures were promptly executed. GNFC stated that the plant will only restart after completing necessary inspections and remedial measures, which are expected to take approximately five days before operations resume.
